Rev Jones Assaulted on San Antonio Stage?: A video titled "Rev explains SanAntonio kick" has been posted on youtube.
Rev Jones from MSG explains the event that took place in San Antonio Texas. During the show a person in the crowd (obviously not a fan) spent the show grabbing and pulling on the shoe strings of Wayne and REV and then assaulted REV twice by slamming his mic into him. The promoter provided no stage security so REV had to defend himself by kicking the guy in the nose...

Reason For OKC Cancellation: I have received a following message from Rev Jones. I also got messages from very dissapointed fans who booked non-refundable hotel, travelled a long distance, etc. I am very sorry for the band and the fans. (cf. 06/18/09 update)

Just so everyone knows, the Oklahoma show was canceled because the venue had no monitor system and the promoter refused to rent one... We all wanted to do the show especially me because I live there, but it would be impossible to play without a monitor system... The tour is going great, everyone is in top form, and the crowds have been incredible every night...

OKC Show Postponed: According to Wayne Findlay , "due to circumstances out of M.S.G.'s control, the Oklahoma City gig at the Rock Theatre has been postponed to 2010. All other scheduled shows on this tour will go as planned."

MSG U.S. Tour Line-up: According to Wayne Findlay, MSG's upcoming U.S. tour will happen as planned. And, the tour line-up has been changed from the one previourly announced (02/26/09 update No.2). Pete Holmes and Rev Jones are back to MSG.

All systems go for the MSG U.S. Tour 2009!! Michael has been approved for his work visa. So now, it's time to prepare for battle and hit the road.

The upcoming M.S.G. U.S. Tour 2009 line-up will be:

Michael Shcenker Free Solo Concert: Bianka Hoffmann, the Sales & Marketing Coordinator at the Hard Rock Cafe Cologne, has kindly informed me that on Friday 22nd of May, they are going to have a special event at the Hard Rock Cafe in Cologne. 2009 release from the guitar great contains highlights from Schenker's many Shrapnel recordings. Beginning with tracks from the aptly titled The Endless Jam series, including extended versions of Rock classics such as 'Layla', 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' and 'Whiter Shade Of Pale. More MSG U.S. Dates (Official & Unofficial): According to MSH.com, the following Oregon dates has been officially announced. Also, Doug has kindly informed me that Orange Blossom Junction in Exeter, CA (Central California 40 miles southeast of Fresno) just confirmed MSG for July 16 with only 180 seats by far the smallest place Michael will play. However, given those rescheduled MSG U.S./Canadian dates, it has become vertually impossible for them to play at the festival.

Almost one year after his phenomenal comeback album In The Midst Of Beauty and follow-up tour, the first album from the Michael Schenker-Gary Barden Acoustic Project is here. Long-term collaborator, Gary Barden's vocals give the cleverly arranged songs just the touch of soul they need for full impact. He wrote the lyrics virtually off the top of his head. And with Michael Voss, Schenker has an experienced producer, a second guitarist as well as a background vocalist on board, who delivers an outstanding performance as usual. Kai Luennemann on percussion completes the team. With such a distinctive, soft sound from Michael Schenker's guitar, this album distinguishes itself easily. In this way, using a flamenco guitar with castanets in "Dance Lady Gipsy" conjures up a hot-blooded gipsy dancing before your eyes, while the fiddle and flutes in "Fight For Freedom" transport you to beautiful Ireland. Michael Schenker New Interview: Again according to Blabbermouth, an interview with Michael Schenker can be found on the guitar blong Guitar Legends. He told that his forthcoming acoustic album with Gary Barden, "Gypsy Lady", is tentatively scheduled for release in April. Asked where the idea of recording an acoustic LP came from, Michael said, "[it] came from my curiosity [about] how my acoustic instrumental work would sound with vocals. So Gary had a go on some of my latest material and I was happily suprised with the outcome. We continued and it turned out very well." He also stated that he wishes to to make a record with Rod Stewart. "We are both born January 10th. I love his Vocals. Also Ansley Dunbar and Wayne Findlay are born January the 10th. We could make it the 10.01 Project".

NAMM Show Event Updates: Michael Schenker has confirmed on his website that he will doing the NAMM Jam Show at House of Blues Annaheim as well as a signing session at the Dean Booth on Saturday, January 17th at 11:00 pm. Also according to Wayne Findlay, there's a possibility that Leslie West and Carlos Cavazo could sit in for a # or 2 at the NAMM Guitar Gods Concert at the House of Blues, Anaheim.
