Let Me Open By Quoting Gary Holt "Michael Schenker is God"
In May of 1974.....I was a Teenager in Grade at a Private Catholic Grammar School, Getting Ready to Graduate. When a Older Neighbor Kevin Robinson lived around the Block had a nice Stereo and a Room in the basement, that was more Dungeon than Bed Room. And Who's Parents let you smoke Pot in said room. He liked more spacey bands but we had some similar tastes. Well he up on Phenomenon UFO's 3rd Album, and First With Michael Schenker. Well since that day, I was hooked on them. And each Album a Soundtrack to High School & Beyond. I would just go to Kevins Just so I could Play that first album, every time. In 1975 I got to see them as an opening band (Supporting Journey First Album Greg Rollie, Singing, And Headlining Montrose) at the historic Winterland Mini Arena. Schenker is One of the Best Rock Guitar Players of All time. I see him as many times as I can since them. And it was a life long wish (to many others as well) to see him play just UFO Songs and bring you back in time. And Sunday Night he did just that! The Crowd was deeply in tune with every song played!
I had dinner before hand at Tommy's Joint (Where Metallica First Told Jason he was in the band)......I saw more of my Old School friends there as well, more than I did inside, because if you want to see Schenker up close, you have to stake a spot on his side, and not move the entire night, from 7PM doors until the last song. I got hang out with Harald O, who was right next to me most the night. And When your my age and a guitar pick hits you and falls to the floor, you have to get on that floor and try and get it. Well I did, and banged my knee. If Harald O didn't help me up.....I would of had to crawl LOL Anyway Great seeing who I did, and a Great once in a Lifetime Experience....Well aren't they All

Still reeling from the Michael Schenker gig at the GAMH last Sunday!! Armored Saint always kicks ass too!!!
All UFO material!! Oh my God... finally!! My only complaint is that he took the tasty Euro instrumental medley - Lipstick Traces, Belladonna, Between the Walls - out of the set! WTF is up with that?? He played them recently in Dublin, Ireland, but totally dropped them from the set for the U.S. tour!! I would've paid full admission price just to hear those three songs!! Oh well!!
Kehoe, Puffy Behrhorst, Lannon, Abunda, Walter, Dickie Doo & Rapunzel, Pam, Connie & Diane etc. were all there sharing a truly inspiring show from the greatest living guitarist of our generation!!! Herr Schenker!!
