Just got home from the Milwaukee show. WOW!!!! Only one opening band thankfully. They weren't bad, but don't remember their name. Michael was dressed like some high school kid that listened to rap music. Kinda like a yellow and black basketball getup. Anyways, I stood about 6 feet in front of him and didn't move. I was absolutely mesmerized! He does things that just defy the way anyone else would even think about trying to play. Just very unorthodox. And amazing to see first hand, right in front of me. I play a little guitar, and songs I thought I had down, weren't even close to how he played them. A big guitar lesson was given tonight and I learned a lot. The same set list as the last few shows. Michael didn't interact too much with the audience until the three encore songs. Then he let loose. One technical glitch, his guitar shorted out during the Fat City guitar solo. He grabbed another one without missing a beat though. I met Michael after the show, I reminded him about the radio interview from the day before. He said, it was a pleasure to place a voice with a face. He shook my hand and signed my recently purchased Thank You 4 cd. A great night most definitely!

The show was absolutely brilliant! I have seen Michael play live 4 different times in my life and this one will definately stand out. He was flawless in his delivery. He hit every note and made the new V's he has been playing on this show sound as sweet as ever. (I wonder if Gibson has made them special for him). He wore a basketball type jersey and the same ball cap as in other shows. There was some sort of stone hinge symbol above the drum riser that I am not familiar with. They hit the stage early compared to other reports, about 9:30 p.m. The entire band played great. I was very impressed by the power that Pete Holmes dispalyed in his drum playing. He reminded me of the way Andy Parker used to beat his drums. Rev jones is just amazing the way he spins that dread on top of his head at 100 rpm and still doesn't miss a beat. Definately a visual side show for Michael. Wayne Findlay was excellent in his rythm playing and his solo on arachnophobiac. Chris Logan's voice seems to be getting stronger as the tour goes on. He hit the notes of every song with the exception of Assault Attack. Something that really impressed me was how Michael had problems with the solo during Fat City and just picked up another guitar and carried on with out any hesitation. No frustration! Amazing for a perfectionist. Michael acknowledged the crowd often and seemed to be in a very relaxed mood. He signed my pick guard from my V after the show and spoke with the autograph seekers. I had met him after a show on the UFO reunion tour and he wasn't nearly as approachable. I believe this bunch he is touring with is much more healthier for him to be around and definately more proffessional. I am glad that Amy left the tour as I am sure she would have been a distraction for him. I hope that that this tour continues and especially that he visits Japan where he is truely appreciated so you can witness his magic again! Michael is indeed back, lets just hope it will be for a long while. Thanks for the great site and all of the updates!

Sincerely, Gary Taylor
